Fairest of Them All

Summary
Ok so everyone knows the story of Snow White. Evil Queen slashes wicked stepmother wanted to be the fairest maiden in the land. Which jealousy and vanity lead to the queens hate for Snow White and thus wanting to kill her. Exactly how did this come about though? Rumors have speculated over some time but within this book tell the true tale of the evil queen.

Opinion
First off it’s a pretty easy read, meant for younger children. I just thought it looked interesting and it was at Disney World so hey why not! Anyways the story is very well plotted out. I actually liked the Queen and felt sympathetic with her. I was surprised that in the beginning she was extremely nice to Snow White who I thought since I was little hater her since they've met. Character development is also a plus with the 'Magic Mirror'. The dialogue was also fantastic, part of the story takes place during the movie. When the Queen spoke it was the exact words the Queen said in the movie! What really made me enjoy this book was the depth of the queen and how most girls can relate. Even though she was the prettiest maiden in the kingdom she felt insecure within herself because her father never loved her and always repeated that she was ugly. So I guess the reason she became so evil, was because of all the harbored insecurities she always face. Overall its phenomenal use of imagery and dialogue really blew me away. If you enjoyed Disney I would defiantly read it

especially since its a short read!

Book vs E-Book

This is going to be a little different from my usual book reviews. I've always wanted to know what people thought of E-Readers and if they like them or don't like them.

E readers have started becoming huge a couple years ago. Companies like Apple, Amazon, Barnes and Noble and Borders all have their own. The iPad, Kindle, Nook and Sony E-Reader are all useful with their own advantages over one another. These gadgets are supposed  to make it easier to read.

The question is, are they a better solution to an actually book?

For college student yes, instead of carrying the heavy mound they call textbooks. All the books they need for school are in one pleasant size electronic device.

Another group that would enjoy E-Readers would be people that go on vacations.  In that situation instead of having you luggage cramped up with piles of books you could just have that fantastic gadget in your carry on so you would never have to worry about it being lost or ruined.

For me, I disagree with these E-Readers. I love books more than just for the text.

The thing I like about books is that the more that you buy, the bigger your collection grows in your library.

The fact that it’s actually book in your hand is a better option than the E-Reader. Some of my friends as well as I cannot focus while looking at a screen.

It’s also been proven that E-Readers are not recommended to people with bad eye sight if the device does not have a back light.

If the E-Reader does not have a back light, it will become harder for the human eye to adjust which then the person end up with Chronic Eye Strain.

Unless its textbooks for college I would much rather have an actually book then the E-Reader.

So what are your thoughts on E-Readers? Would you rather have over one thousands books in a small portable device? Or would you rather have the legitimate piece of work?
